Soil tip:
To whiten the cardoons, lift the leaves towards the center and surround them with paper, allowing the foliage to protrude so that it stays ventilated.
Culture advice:
1. Sows: Sow 3-4 seeds in May-June in shallow holes 1 x 1 m apart.
2. Thinning: At the 3-4-leaf stage, keep only the strongest plant in each hole and pull out the others.
3. Harvest: Harvest in October-November.

The cardoon likes the proximity of cauliflower which allows it to use more intensely the nutrients of the soil, and therefore, to be more productive.
