     Ordinary soil, but without excess nitrogen or fresh manure.
    Prohibit soils that are too acidic or salty.

    The lettuce appreciates the proximity of beetroot, carrot, cabbage, bean, melon, and onion.

    Sow at good exposure from August to September, in lines 30 cm apart.
    At the 3-4 leaf stage, remove the smallest plants. Keep only the most vigorous, so that only one lettuce is left every 30 cm.

    Harvest from late March to May. Shelter from the cold in very vigorous winter areas.
