This plant, very rustic, produces wide fleshy ribs of very good taste quality. Do not consume leaves that may be toxic.

Tip Vilmorin: Rhubarb likes proximity to all other vegetables. Its broad leaves can be used in purin, to fight aphids and leek worms.

Sow in April-May or August-September in a nursery or bucket, sheltered from the sun.

Harvest 5-6 months after sowing.

Taste the red stems, to cook in pie or jam.
