The duracool 22a - R290 was designed to replace the HCFC R22 , a freon banned to this day in France and Europe, and which still equips many air conditioning systems today. Duracool 22a is a natural refrigerant gas with no greenhouse effect or effect on the hydrocarbon-based ozone layer, and therefore flammable.

The Duracool 22a - R290 is sold in 221 gram cans, and is equivalent to 567 grams of R22. Refrigerants DURACOOL® do not require approvals to be purchased, or installed in an empty CFC, HFC or HCFC circuit.

Although the Duracool 22a is miscible with the R22, it is forbidden to mix these two freons.

Any intervention on a circuit still containing fluoride: CFC, HFC or HCFC requires the intervener to comply with the laws in force (Decree of July 4, 2009), namely to have the freon recovered beforehand by a professional duly qualified before any charge with 22a

The duracool 22a should not be installed in car air conditioning.
Namely: this gas is allowed in France but is not approved by the manufacturers of refrigeration equipment, and can cause you to lose the manufacturer guarantee of your air conditioning in case of charge in Duracool 22a
