1. I sow:
Sow in March-April in buckets and under heated shelter. Place 2 seeds per pot. Or sow poquets from May to early June in the middle of the earth, at sunny exposure. Space the 1m x 60cm poquets.
2. I talk:
15 days after sowing, plant the most vigorous plants at 1 m x 60 cm. Protect the planting from the coolness of the night, and ventilate during the day. Water frequently. For large fruits, cut the stem two leaves above the 3rd formed melon.
3. I harvest:
Harvest from July to September. It is good to pick when a circular chafing forms at the base of the stalk. The perfect maturity is obtained after 2 to 4 days in the cellar.
Tricks:
Taste raw flesh, as a starter with Parma ham, or as a dessert.
In the fall before sowing, bury 4 kg of manure per square metre to improve its development.
