The benefits of Duracool 12a don't stop there. It operates at lower pressures and provides up to 40% energy savings compared to CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs. In addition, unlike some refrigerants, the purchase and installation of the Duracool® do not require special approvals if the circuit is previously emptied of CFCs, HFCs or HCFCs. However, to ensure the longevity and efficiency of the can, it is imperative to use our DC4000 or DC402 charging hoses. These are specifically adapted to the 1/2 ACME thread of our cans.
The effectiveness of Duracool 12a is also evaluated through its GWP coefficient (Global Warming Potential) which is 3.0 to 3.15. For comparison, the GWP of R134a is 1430 and that of R12 is 10900. With legislation constantly evolving, favoring Duracool 12a is a wise and environmentally friendly choice.
