12a Duracool recharge pack with R134a air conditioning hose only
DURACOOL 12a refrigerant is a substitute for HFC-134a (R134a) used for medium temperature applications, such as automobiles, heat pumps, air and water cooling systems, beverage dispensers, CO2 cascade systems, etc.
- Operates at a much lower pressure than R134a.
- Cooling capacity equal to R12, R134a and R1234yf.
- Applicable in heat exchange and expansion installations designed for R12, R134a or R1234yf.
- Compatible with common refrigeration materials and lubricants.
- Applicable in compressors designed for R12, R134a or R1234yf as well as in special hydrocarbon compressors.
The refrigerant DURACOOL 12a is a substitute for R134a and R12. this refrigerant meets all the thermodynamic requirements necessary for the proper functioning of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Its molecules being thicker than R12, R134a and 1234yf, this refrigerant 12a will save you about 35% when you recharge.
GWP coefficient ( Global Warming Potential) of duracool 12a: 3.0 to 3.15.
For your information, here is the GWP of some refrigerants that duracool 12a replaces:
- R134a: 1430
- R12: 10900
Now, here is briefly what the law says: a fluid with a GWP > 1500 can be used until 2025, and from 2030 a refrigerant must have a GWP less than 150
The hydrocarbons used for the design of duracool 12a in the mixtures are of pharmaceutical grade purity, verified by a certified analysis at each loading.
The duracool 12a is therefore very clearly a refrigerant gas of the future as a substitute for R12 and R134a
Careful: The charging hose provided in the kit is equipped with a low-pressure R134A connection that can only be used on motorized vehicles (cars, trucks, coaches, tractors, combine , etc.). Some vehicle models such as Renault for example only have a high pressure valve (no low pressure valve). Knowing that the diameters of these two fittings are different, you will not be able to use this kit in with these vehicles.
We therefore invite you to check the presence of the two valves on your vehicle before buying this kit. If your car has only one high-pressure valve, we advise you to turn to our other kits containing our DC402 hose which allows you to change the connection connection or call us for more advice.
If you intend this refill in duracool 12a to boat fridges, cold rooms or others, we invite you to check the valve present on your air conditioning circuit. If it looks like our 080611 fitting with a 1/4'' SAE male thread, you will have to choose this other charging kit where the hose is compatible with this connection : Deluxe charging pack
Namely: this gas is allowed in France but is not approved by car manufacturers, and can make you lose the manufacturer's warranty of your vehicle in case of load in Duracool 12a
Refrigerants DURACOOL® do not require approvals to be purchased, or installed in an empty circuit of CFCs, HFCs or HCFCs.
Although Duracool 12a is miscible with R12, R134a and 1234yf, it is forbidden to mix these freons with each other
Any intervention on a circuit still containing fluorine : CFC, HFC or HCFC requires the intervener to comply with the laws in force (Decree of 4 July 2009), namely to have the freon recovered beforehand by a duly authorized professional.
