Acto Maze: Mosquito Larvae Trap for Gardens and Balconies
Acto Labyrinth: Mosquito Larvae Trap
The Mosquito Larvae Trap Labyrinth Acto is an effective solution to limit the proliferation of mosquitoes, including tiger mosquitoes, in domestic spaces. Designed to fit into flower pot saucers, this device offers a mechanical, insecticide-free method of trapping and eliminating larvae before they become adult mosquitoes. Easy to use, it is perfect for gardens, balconies and terraces.
How does the trap work?
Female mosquitoes lay their eggs on the surface of stagnant water, such as those from flower pot saucers. Once the eggs hatch, the larvae descend into the water in search of food and darkness. They are then attracted to the trap vestibule, where they get lost in a labyrinth. Unable to come to the surface to breathe, they end up drowning. This simple but highly effective mechanism works without the need for bait or chemicals.
A practical and durable device
Made of translucent plastic, the trap is designed to withstand the elements. All you have to do is check the water level regularly, especially in hot weather. When it's full, cleaning is quick: open the trap, rinse it and place it back in the saucer. This reusable system guarantees use over several seasons, as long as it remains submerged in water.
Why choose this trap?
Tiger mosquitoes rarely move beyond 150 meters from their place of birth, making stagnant water in your immediate environment a critical point to treat. With this trap, you act directly at the source to limit the proliferation. In addition, the absence of insecticides makes it an environmentally friendly and safe solution for plants and pets.
For what size pots?
This trap is designed for saucers with a diameter of 17 to 30 cm, ideal for pots up to 25 cm in diameter. For larger saucers or planters, it is recommended to use two traps for maximum effectiveness.
