Soil tip:
To prevent the seed from going to seed and extend the harvest period, water your lettuces regularly. Lettuce prefers a sunny exposure.
Cultural advice:
1. Sowing: Sow in the ground from April to July in rows 30 cm apart.
2. Thinning: At the 2-3 leaf stage, pull out the smaller ones and keep only the most vigorous ones so that only one lettuce is left every 30 cm.
3. Harvest: Harvest from late June to October. To have lettuce from the end of May, sow under cover from February.
Companion plant(s):
Head lettuce likes the proximity of radish because by sowing them together, lettuce is less likely to go to seed.
Reason for destocking: expiry date near or past
