Characteristics:

A plant whose twig-like foliage is covered along almost its entire length with curly pompom-shaped flowers whose very rich colours range from white to purple, pink and salmon.

 Soil tip:

They appreciate infertile soils, cool but well-drained, slightly acidic. Soil that is too fertile favours foliage to the detriment of flowers.

Decorating ideas:

Clarkias also grow very well in pots or planters and look great in indoor bouquets. Combine them with knapweed, lavatera, flax and marigolds.

The sowing stages:

Sow from March to June in the ground on the broadcast and tamp down the soil to bury the seeds very lightly.

Thin in several times, pulling out the smallest plants in order to obtain a final spacing of 20 cm between each clarkia necessary for good growth.
